Cellular Shades are one of many different window coverings to choose from. So why would you decide to choose them for your home? I’m currently consulting on a Townhome redesign and one of the items in desperate need are new window coverings. My recommendation was to go for Cellular Shades and here is why. Top-Down-Bottom-Up. In my clients home the master bedroom and ensuite are on the top floor which have gorgeous views but you really don’t want you neighbors peeking in on you. Especially when enjoying a relaxing bath in the large soaker tub. Cellular shades offer a top-down bottom-up option which allows you to open them up at the top to let light in but keep them closed at the bottom for privacy. If you live in a home where you look out of your kitchen window into your neighbors house, top-down bottom-up are the perfect solution. Great option for privacy in the dining room or eating nook. Cellular shades come with a blackout option which is perfect in bedrooms or media rooms. There are a variety of fabrics and different textures. You can match them to your decor, your paint colour on the walls or just stay neutral. How gorgeous are the sage shades below with the living room decor! Pair them with some curtain panels for a designer styled look. If you have an arched window, custom cellular shades are a great solution. Another option is to go cordless, which is fabulous if you don’t like the look of pulls. Perfect for french doors or patio doors. Cellular shades also have the benefit of insulation and sun protection. They help keep the warmth in your home during the winter days and keep it cool in the summer. Plus they protect your furniture and flooring from the damaging UVA rays. And last but not least…they are just really pretty!
