Sometimes when life gets so crazy busy we often forget to stop and take a breath and that is exactly what we did this weekend. It was a spontaneous decision but we packed up the car and the dog and I grabbed my new camera and headed up to Campbell River, BC to check out Elk Falls Provincial Park. BC Hydro has doubled the spill down the Elk Falls Canyon to proactively control the reservoir level and for flood risk management. So this has created some spectacular waterfalls.
It was a fabulous day and I was reminded of what a beautiful place we live in. With Remembrance Day tomorrow I am so grateful for all the men and women of our military that have worked so hard to allow us the freedom we have to appreciate and enjoy the beauty around us.
One thing I love about the outdoors is the natural colour palettes and amazing textures it creates. Benjamin Moore colours: Baby Fern 2029-20; Toucan Black 2118-20; Dash of Pepper 1544; Light Pistachio 2034-60; Sea Mist Green 2041-50
It was a gorgeous day and a well needed break!
What natural colour palettes do you see when you go outside?
