It’s that exciting time of year again, when Pantone (industry leading color experts) announce their color of the year for 2017. Last year they surprised us with not one but two colors for 2016. Roze Quartz and Serenity.
This year the 2017 Color of the Year is PANTONE 15-0343 Greenery, which the company describes as “a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew.”Considering all that went on in the world in 2016 it’s nice to see a bright cheery color.
I think a lot of people were expecting a darker shade or something a bit more neutral but this bright cheery color may just be what we need right now. It’s a bright color for interiors and I don’t think I am going to run out and start painting any rooms this color but it’s fun for artwork or accessories like throw pillows or just add some greenery via plants or palm leaf stems.
Mixing white and green together freshens up any room and makes it feel inviting.
Love the mix of green with wood.
