Spring is here! Well at least it is for us folks on the West Coast. Flowers are blooming, birds are singing and the days are getting longer. It’s a perfect time to do these 5 things to freshen  up in your home and welcome Spring.

A new year brings out lots of information on what is hot and what’s on it’s way out in the design world. There are a ton of trends new and still hanging on so I thought I would narrow it down and share a few that I love and plan on using in 2017.

It was a bit different decorating this year since we don’t have a fireplace or a mantle so I created mini vignettes anywhere that I could.

I have been looking at Escents electric oil diffusers and have been meaning to get one for myself but I just haven’t had the time so when I received one as a house warming gift I was over the moon!

I have a huge weakness for throw pillows and honestly believe there is no such thing as too many pillows!

It took me a long time to decide what I wanted and I shopped all over town but I seemed to find the ones I liked the most online. I love all of these and especially the fact that they are all under $200!  

I love the look of a vintage rug in a kitchen. They were calling it a trend last year but I think the look is here to stay.

Shopping online seems to be a common occurrence for lots of people and if you live in Victoria then you know we don’t have much available to us for home decor stores like Vancouver or Toronto or the USA. I find myself shopping a lot online and directing clients there as well. There are some good sites and some bad ones and I thought I would share some of my go to favorites.
