Shopping online seems to be a common occurrence for lots of people and if you live in Victoria then you know we don’t have much available to us for home decor stores like Vancouver or Toronto or the USA. I find myself shopping a lot online and directing clients there as well. There are some good sites and some bad ones and I thought I would share some of my go to favorites.
Amazon – Either Amazon.ca or Amazon.com. I love Amazon and It always amazes me what they sell! I usually check Amazon.ca first because Amazon.com doesn’t ship some items to Canada but it usually indicates if it ships to your area. I like to look for bathroom fixtures and hardware on Amazon.
Wayfair - This is another great site for anything for your home. Make sure you click “ships to Canada” on the left hand side when you are searching for items. This is a great site for rugs, coffee tables and so much more. Wayfai offers 7 million products from over 7,000 suppliers across five distinct brands – Wayfair.com, AllModern, Birch Lane, DwellStudio and Joss & Main.
Joss & Main – (part of Wayfair above) is hands down my favorite of them all. The prices are amazing and there are different sales all the time. They have gorgeous area rugs and fun unique items for your home along with furniture and so much more!. Shipping, duties and taxes can add up but I think it’s worth it. You have to sign up as a member but it doesn’t cost anything.
Etsy – If you haven’t discovered this site yet you are in for a treat. Its a place where people from around the world connect to buy and sell unique items. This is a great place to find really fun prints for gallery walls and stencils. It is the BEST place to buy pillow covers of all sizes and curtains, among a ton of other home made items. There are some gorgeous custom wedding or baby pillows that make great gifts plus so much more.
So a few of my favorite sites that if you haven’t already check out make sure that you do. Warning...shopping online may become addictive 🙂
