Sophisticated Modern Farmhouse Powder Room Design

When I’m working with clients or designing my own properties I use subway tile on a regular basis. I love it because it is clean and simple and always looks amazing plus its inexpensive.

I am so happy to find some time to sit down and write a new blog post. 🙂 It has been way too long and I intend to get back into my weekly or bi-weekly posts. I am looking forward to sharing before and after pics and do’s and dont’s from our renovation. 

I love granite and how each slab is unique and there are some beautiful patterns and colourations available. If you decide to go with a granite countertop make it the star of your kitchen and choose the right backsplash. 

In the business of renovation or new construction a good general contractor is worth their weight in gold.

I came to the conclusion we would be doing some sort of custom tile and the other day I stumbled upon Edgewater Studio Artistic Tile in North Vancouver (just across the water from us here in Victoria). I was over the moon!

This way you don’t have to hire a designer at and hourly rate.

I am happy to say I have narrowed it down to my top 4 porcelain tiles that look like marble to save you some time and energy.

I have started to think about our Master Bathroom design and I am loving the doorless glass shower look! Our bathroom is going to be small so glass is one way to maximize the space and make it feel bigger and if you have minimal hardware the glass sort of disappears.  

I have been spending a lot of time at the flooring store! I have three major projects on the go right now so lots of different floorings to choose. One of my major projects is of course the house we just bought and are now renovating and I thought I would share with you what I chose for flooring and why.
